Warsaw Residents Concerned About police Coverage
News - Local and Regional News
Many Warsaw residents say they are concerned about a reduction in Police patrols. The police staff in the town was reduced from three to two after the firing of chief deWitt Cooper. Warsaw officials say they understand the public's concerns and emphasize that the department is doing their best during a difficult time. Chief Dewitt Cooper’s contract with the Town was terminated after a controversial Town Council vote on July 8. A special meeting will be held tonight at 7 p.m. at the Town Hall to discuss procedures for hiring an interim Police Chief.
